There’s only been a handful of places I’ve visited that grabbed my heart like Lisbon did.

Here’s what I look for when travelling:

  1. Friendly locals

  2. Rich Cultural History where I can try to speak the local language

    Bonus - Super Affordable

What truly got me was the down-to-earth, accessible vibe of Lisbon's food scene. It's a city where, even on a tight budget, you can dive into a local plate and grab a glass of wine for less than 2 euros. There's an unspoken pact here that good food shouldn't be a luxury, but a shared experience. The markets and humble bars are the beating heart of Lisbon's culinary identity. It's a place where, whether you're a local or a curious traveller, you can pull up a chair, indulge in the flavours, and become part of the ever-evolving narrative of this epic city.

I said to myself before I left Portugal:

“I’ll live here one day”
